Ingredients:

  • 300g plain flour
  • 150g white Flora, vegetable margarine, lard or butter
  • pinch of salt
  • water to mix
  • Method

    Sift the flour into a mixing bowl, together with the salt. 
    Cut the fat into pieces and rub into the flour with fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. 
    Add a little cold water, little by little, just enough to form the mixture into a firm dough. Wrap in cling film.
    Place in the fridge to chill.
